About Our Horses

We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses from all over Florida and beyond. We help any equines as needs arise, such as the rescue and rehoming of US-bred Caribbean Thoroughbreds after Hurricane Irma destroyed Puerto Rico.

Equines in Rehab

When our horses arrive, they’re given a complete medical examination to determine their rehabilitation and treatment plan. Although we are a 100% volunteer organization, the rescues currently undergoing rehabilitation have significant expenses. Medical, farrier, and dental services are all provided at a reasonable cost, but it all adds up.

We are always looking for financial sponsors for our horses in rehab. A sponsor helps cover the expenses for the horse and the sponsor is also given the first opportunity to adopt that horse once the rehabilitation is complete.

Pasture Pals for Adoption or Sponsor

Once our rescues are rehabilitated, they are evaluated for soundness for riding. Pasture Pals are those who are no longer suitable for riding, but who make wonderful companions for other horses (and humans).

Our Save Our Senior program is aimed at placement of senior horses, typically pasture pals, who need and deserve loving homes.

Sometimes our Pasture Pals are still in need of a sponsor to help defray the costs to maintain their care until an adoptive owner is found, or longer term for permanent residents.

Sound Horses for Adoption or Sponsor

Rehabilitated horses who are found sound for riding will be matched with an adoptive owner depending on the type of riding the owner plans to do.
