Jenny arrived with Spike in June 2026 when their owner contacted us for rehoming. When we saw their physical condition and living conditions, we knew we had to step in to help. While we prepared them for transport, we began feeding at the owners’ and their neighbors’ property. By the time they arrived at RVR two weeks later, both had gained weight. We are aware of some medical concerns and will address them after they have a chance to decompress and settle into their new surroundings. Neither horse had been haltered or handled for over 11 years, but they are already adapting fairly well. Both have proven to be sweet and friendly, as well as unsure and fearful, as would be expected during this transition.

Once their rehabilitation is complete, they will be available for adoption.
