Rosie is about 8 years old, is the largest of the mini trio, and has the most weight to gain. When she first arrived, she was rated with a body score of 2.0. Her coat disguised her protruding spine and hips. She has since gotten back to her target weight and with time, attention, and a soft hand, Rosie began to come out of her shell. She’s come a long way in learning to trust, although she will likely always be shy and a bit fearful. Once you earn her trust, she becomes more comfortable.

Despite her hardships, Rosie is kind and wants to be included! She’s very bonded to Zoe. She has come a long way in halter training and short daily walks and this beautiful girl is learning to trust with the extra TLC. She definitely needs a patient, understanding owner with a soft hand who is willing to take the time to let her decompress with the change of environment and to be understanding and work with her on desensitization to daily routines.

Rosie was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, possibly from birth. She compensates for it as she walks but doesn’t appear to be in pain.

Zoe and Rosie are best buddies and will not be separated.
